Happy Birthday, Keith Moon!
Keith was the drummer for the English rock band The Who. Keith can be best remembered for his completely bombastic (sometimes, literally) drumming style, with power and unbelievable technique. The way his arms would frantically move around the drum set, you’d honestly think an octopus had picked up the sticks.
We check out some of his career highlights!
Keith Moon (The Who) Explosive Drumming, 1967
Perhaps the most famous memory of Keith Moon, certainly one that Pete Townsend won’t forget in a hurry, was when he placed cherry bombs in his bass drum and set them off at the end of their live TV performance!
The Who – Baba O’riley Live
Â
A fantastic performance by the whole band, in particular Keith, of this world-famous Who track
Keith Moon Drum Solo – Goldfish Kit

No fish were harmed in the filming of this drum solo….we hope!
Rest in Power, Keith Moon!
