Experience the full-bodied warmth of the Mapex Comet Series with its 9-ply, 7.2mm poplar shells. Each hit delivers a deep, rich tone that lays the foundation for any genre of music. These resonant shells are tuned for performance right out of the box, ensuring that beginners can start on a high note and develop their skills with a quality sound.

Enhanced hardware for durable play

The Comet Series takes durability seriously. Upgraded cymbals offer better response and withstand frequent playing, while the enhanced 400 series footboards ensure stability and control for the hi-hat and bass drum. These improvements mean less maintenance and more music, giving drummers the reliability they need to keep the beat going.

Straightforward tuning

With Mapex’s SONIClear bearing edges, tuning becomes a breeze. This feature not only simplifies the setup process but also enhances the drum’s tonal clarity. You get to spend less time tweaking and more time playing, with each drumhead sitting flat to produce a cleaner, more focused sound.

Comfort meets convenience

Mapex’s commitment to comfort is evident in every aspect of the Comet Series. The inclusion of comfort curve wingnuts and wingbolts makes adjusting the kit painless, while the Mapex T400 Drum Throne supports your posture during those long hours of practice. This kit ensures that your focus remains on your performance, not on your gear. What’s Included
