At the heart of the Mapex Comet Series is its 9 Ply, 7.2mm Poplar Shells, delivering a rich and warm tone that’s uncommon in entry-level drum kits. Coupled with the SONIClear Bearing Edges, these shells provide drummers with a drum tone that is both full-bodied and easy to tune, ensuring that beginners can quickly achieve a professional sound without the fuss. This feature significantly enhances the learning and playing experience, providing a solid foundation for growth and experimentation.

Durable and responsive cymbals

Upgraded cymbals are a standout feature of the Mapex Comet Series. Offering improved durability and response, these cymbals are designed to withstand the rigors of practice and performance, ensuring a consistent sound quality. Whether playing crisp hi-hats or expressive crash cymbals, drummers will appreciate the enhanced feel and sound projection, making every beat count. This upgrade is a game-changer for beginners, elevating their playing experience from day one.

Enhanced comfort and stability

Mapex understands the importance of comfort and stability in drumming. The inclusion of the 400 Series Drum Throne in the Comet Series kit emphasises this understanding. Designed for optimal comfort and adjustable to fit any player, this throne allows drummers to maintain proper posture and play for longer periods without discomfort. Combined with the comfort curve wingnuts and wingbolts, every component of this kit is engineered for a secure and comfortable drumming experience.
